While we endeavour to provide you with expert guidance and comfortable accommodations, your experience will be enhanced if you come prepared. Please see this list of recommended items to ensure a successful bear hunt adventure:
  • Head-to-toe camouflage clothing, including gloves and a face mask
  • Bug repellent technology by Thermacell, with refills
  • Waterproof rubber boots
  • Protective bow/gun case
  • Tree stand cushion Safety belt and harness
  • Fishing rods and tackle (for downtime)
  • Scent-free or ScentLok clothing to reduce the amount of human odour

Please complete this form at least 60 days prior to your scheduled hunt:
BJO will have a few options of calibres to choose from. All will be topped with a 3-9x scope ($150/week)

Ammunition will be supplied with the rentals
Airport pickup will be offered Sunday afternoon and there will be a return trip on Saturday to make the late morning/early afternoon flights departing from Winnipeg. We are unable to provide airport drop off to anyone who books the early morning departing flight.
GUNS: One form will allow you to bring up to 3 firearms. If there are more than three firearms, a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration Continuation Sheet (form RCMP 5590) needs to be added. ARRIVING AT THE US/CANADA BORDER Driving
  1. Stop at US customs and ask for a Certificate of Registration for Personal Effects Taken Abroad. You will record a description of the firearm including the serial number on this.
  2. Go to Canada customs. You will declare your firearm(s) and provide the declaration. Border services will check to ensure you have stored your firearm properly for transporting, review your paperwork and verify that the firearm(s) match those described in the documents.
  3. When returning to the US, you will have to declare that you are bringing your weapons back in the US. Provide the Certificate of Registration for Personal Effects form you filled out on your way.
